Artist collaboration animation for Ralph Lauren, showcasing the hero Pineapple ingredient in their new fragrance.


Brief

I was commissioned by Ralph Lauren Fragrances to create a social-first animation highlighting the pineapple as the olfactive hero of Polo 67 Eau de Parfum. The concept, supported by Tux Studio, centred around the idea of craftsmanship, visually representing the pineapple being embroidered onto a patch alongside the Polo 67 logo. The final piece was designed for social platforms, focusing on a bold, graphic moment that connects the fragrance story with the iconic Polo aesthetic.


Creative

The animation focuses on the tactile beauty of embroidery, using close-ups of the illustration as it is gradually stitched together thread by thread. By isolating the stitching process, the piece emphasises texture, colour, and detail, building anticipation before revealing the finished embroidered patch featuring the Polo 67 branding.



Design

The first step was defining the graphic that would ultimately be stitched. Working with photography of the pineapple and fragrance bottle provided in the campaign assets, using these as the foundation to design the embroidered patch. From this, I developed a simplified pineapple illustration and combined it with the Polo 67 logo to create the final artwork that would guide the embroidery animation.
